Dixon Jones – Winners of the Education award – The Brick Awards 2018

Congratulations to Dixon Jones for winning the Education award at the Brick Awards 2018 for their work on Marlborough Primary School in London.

Using multiple styles of bricks supplied by Modular Clay Products – FLB Danehill Yellow by Michelmersh and Bexhill Dark by Ibstock – Dixon Jones along with the brickwork contractor Lesterose Builders Ltd were able to hugely increase the density of the site without compromising on large play areas and communal halls by adopting a creative sectional concept.

The work is landscaped in a way to create a feeling of a connected community with brighter brickwork contrasting the dark brick of a nearby office building while retaining references to local precedents.
